Jennifer Lopez just proved curtain fringes are officially here to stay after debuting a new layered haircut on Instagram.

Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton showed off the singer's new hairstyle on his Instagram. He captioned the photo: "Love J Lo with a curtain bang and layers. Who’s into this vibe?"

Well Chris, we're very much into this vibe.

Over on her own Instagram, J Lo shared a series of photos, and it's safe to say we still can't believe this woman is 52. Like, seriously.

She paired her new look with a cream knitted crop top and matching blazer, and captioned her post: "Bringing the beige."

Her post has already racked up over 2 million likes, with plenty of fans and celebrities hyping her up in the comments section. "I love this length of hair for her," said one fan, while another added "Beautiful hair."

J Lo's not the first to hop on the curtain fringe train, celebrities including Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish and Jameela Jamil have all gone for the chop in the past year.

Luckily, the curtain fringe has come a long way from the 90s, when it was synonymous with boybands like Westlife and Boyzone. Speaking about the comeback of the once iconic curtain fringe, celebrity hair stylist Nicky Clarke told Harper's Bazaar: "The fringe trend never really goes away, and we’re constantly seeing different versions coming into fashion, whether they’re brand new trends or reinvented looks."

"Curtain bangs are incredibly versatile, working on any length of hair, and allow the wearer to really take ownership of their look, pairing well with edgy rock chick looks or more pared back, off-duty styles. Styling the rest of the hair in soft, beachy waves that aren’t too done allows the fringe to look strong and be the focal point of the look," Nicky adds.

BRB, just off to get a curtain fringe...
