Because I’m basically a professional shopper, I’ve had the opportunity to try tons of new, old, and established fashion labels. Like all things, there are some really good stand-out brands and some not-so-great picks. But then, there are those that are in a completely different playing field, like the speciality retailer J.Crew.

The truth is, I used to sleep on J.Crew. I saw it as just another store that was comparable to everything else out there. Spoiler alert: I was wrong. Since fully diving into J.Crew, I’ve learned that the brand makes high-quality pieces that are made to last. In fact, I’ve secured some of my all-time favorite fashion separates from J.Crew, so you already know I was excited to shop the brand’s 672 new arrivals. But to keep things simple, I’m sharing my top 10 editor-approved picks that I can’t survive fall without.

10 Editor-Approved J.Crew New Arrivals

Cashmere Shrunken Turtleneck Sweater

J.Crew

J.Crew

$138

I’m a firm believer that everyone needs at least one turtleneck sweater in their wardrobe. Key words: at least. If you’re like me, you own three, and there’s no harm in snagging one more, especially when it’s J.Crew’s shrunken turtleneck. This pick is made of buttery soft cozy cashmere, features a high, rolled neck, and includes ribbing along the sleeves and hemline. The elements work together to create a warm and toasty top that’s perfect for chilly fall days. What I love most though is the cropped design. Instead of engulfing your silhouette, it flatters your figure, complimenting your natural body type. Layer it under a wool coat, throw it over a long sleeve for extra warmth, style it with a mini leather skirt, or make it preppy with a pair of Mary Janes. The options are endless, making it a versatile and uncomplicated style staple.

Pleated Pull-On Wool-Blend Midi Skirt

J.Crew

J.Crew

$228

I am a denim devotee, but sometimes a girl just wants to wear something flowy and pretty. That’s why I’m in love with J.Crew’s pleated wool-blend skirt. The textured bottom reaches right above the ankles offering a classy and sophisticated look. The side zips make taking this baby on and off a piece of cake, while the A-line fit maintains your figure. I like styling similar skirts with warm sweaters and long-sleeved bodysuits, but a sleek button-up shirt would pair just as nicely.

Stevie Knee-High Suede Boots

J.Crew

J.Crew

$328

Suede boots might as well be a part of the definition of fall, and one look at the Stevie shoes will show you exactly what I mean. Available in four neutral colors, the brand’s best-selling boots include a short heel, pull-on design, and pointed toe. The sensible shoe makes trekking through the day a breeze, taking you from work, happy hour, and more with ease. Style them with a classic scoop-neck sweater or opt for an elevated ribbed sweater dress. Dressing a pair of shoes up or down has never been simpler.
