Earlier in the summer, we learnt that due to the pandemic and subsequent restrictions, this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! will take place in a Welsh castle, rather than the Australian jungle.
Speaking in an ITV press release, Richard Cowles, director of entertainment at ITV Studios said: "The Australian jungle is such an integral part of the show [and] it was a big challenge to find a UK location where we could continue to deliver what viewers love about I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
"But Gwrych will definitely do that; the Castle sits in an amazing and atmospheric setting on a hillside overlooking the Irish Sea."
Now, ITV has given us some more information in the form of a first-look trailer and return date confirmation.
In the fun teaser trailer, hosts Ant and Dec seem a little confused about their new filming location...
“Ah it’s great to be back Down Under.” says Ant as he steps out of a black cab and onto a cowpat. “I would hate to see the kangaroo who left that," he then adds.
“Wow that was quick.” says Dec as he pulls off an eye mask. “I must have slept through the whole flight.”
As Dec consults an I’m A Celebrity map of Australia he says: “This place looks nothing like my map."
“How many more times. Australia is upside down,” replies Ant.
“Of course, it is. I’m such an idiot. Isn’t that right Mr Kangaroo,” responds Dec - as the show hosts walk past a signpost towards ‘The Castle’ and the camera pans across the Welsh countryside.
The promo, which was filmed on location in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales, gives us a hint of the comedy that's to come, and we can't wait.
And the good news is, we don't have too long to wait. ITV has confirmed the series will begin in November.
Now, all that remains is to find out which celebrities are joining this new-feel I'm A Celeb series. Watch this space for more news.
I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! will start on ITV in November.
