ITV Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley shocks guest as he says 'you make me sick'

Good Morning Britain's own Richard Madeley didn't mince words during a lively banter with pop sensation Olly Murs on the breakfast telly programme.

Chatting to co-host Kate Garraway and Richard, the ex-X Factor heartthrob shared deets before his episode of BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? hits screens on Thursday eve.

The interview commenced with a trip down memory lane and a clip reel showcasing Olly's catchy tunes over time. Once the montage wrapped, Kate playfully teased Olly about his hit Troublemaker, hinting that it was time to step up as he's now a doting dad.

Olly expressed his eagerness to eventually share the tale of his rise to fame with his little girl, right when the camera panned to adorable snapshots of his family, reports the Mirror.

Richard couldn't help himself, exclaiming: "Look at you! You've got a beautiful baby, you've got a beautiful wife. You look great, you've got a fantastic career, you've got a great back catalogue. You make me sick!"

Olly took the cheeky jab in stride, cracking up at Richard's quip. With the studio echoing laughter, Olly shot back: "I'll take it!" Richard clarified his jest: "What I mean is, you must feel blessed sometimes."

At 40, Olly concurred, reflecting on the whirlwind of achievements and personal milestones recently, like tying the knot with Amelia Tank last year and celebrating the arrival of their beloved Madison this April. Plus, Olly delved into the nostalgia of marking 15 years in showbiz.

Richard was utterly taken aback as he exclaimed: "It's not 15? ! I thought that was a misprint in our notes." Olly, reflecting on the swift passage of time, responded: "It has been an amazing time. I'm super happy, life's good at the moment."

During their chat, Kate praised his dedication and boundless energy, remarking: "Tonight we see that actually, that spirit goes right back through the genes."

Olly shared a fascinating tidbit from his episode of Who Do You Think You Are?, revealing his family's entertaining past: "I found out that Veronica, my great grandmother was a trapeze artist, a full-time trapeze artist. In that clip, she was five months pregnant with my grandad.

"She was based in Latvia and they would travel around the Baltic seas, visiting different countries like Germany and Finland, performing for troops and civilians alike during wartime they were just entertainers. There was me thinking that I was the only Murs that had their name in lights and Murs was already a thing!"
