Interested in Coming to Work with Us at Women's Health?

Whether you're always telling your friends about new fitness trends, want to put the hours you spend researching skincare ingredients online to good use or you're passionate about raising awareness of mental health issues, here's your chance to quite literally kickstart your career at Women's Health.

What is the Kickstart scheme?

Yes, it's true. Women Health is taking part in the UK government’s Kickstart scheme and we’ve got two exciting vacancies for content trainees to join our wonderful team.

The Kickstart Scheme is open to anyone aged 16-24 currently claiming Universal Credit and helps those at risk of long-term unemployment take the next (or first) step on the career ladder. Up for it? Here's everything you need to know on how to apply…

What does being a content trainee at Women's Health look like?

We're offering the opportunity to join our award-winning writers and editors as part of Team WH for six months. The two vacancies we're looking to fill are Content Trainees; both of the roles are paid hourly at the national minimum wage and your time will be spent working across the entire WH brand.

As part of the role, you will be responsible for:

  • writing copy for all our platforms

  • responding to reader queries

  • conducting interviews with health experts

  • transcribing interviews with celebrities

  • assisting the editor-in-chief with admin tasks

  • updating our forward planner with upcoming books, films, TV programmes, awareness weeks and events

Who do we want to hear from?

We want to hear from you if you have a demonstrable passion for health and fitness: perhaps you’re a vocal advocate for good mental health, know your way around a kitchen or love nothing more than your daily run. We only ask that you bring your enthusiasm to work with you.

In return, you’ll be rewarded with the mentorship of award-winning writers and editors and the opportunity to have your work published on the Women’s Health website and in the print magazine.

Not only are the positions paid, but you'll also be boosting your future job prospects by learning valuable skills and gaining work experience that you can add to your CV. The placements are part-time roles - 25 hours per week - and will be a hybrid of home and office working (2 days), which is located at 30 Panton Street, London, SW1Y 4AJ.
