While Leicester Square isn't the first address that springs to mind when we think of a location for a luxury London hotel, this five-star newbie will change your perception of the well-known hub.

As a 'super boutique hotel,' The Londoner was designed to amaze and delight the most stylish of travellers, with its thoughtful hospitality and incredible offerings.

You'll find a whopping 350 rooms, six dining concepts, a unique members club-style private area and a cinema, as well as an entire floor dedicated to wellness.

Capturing the character of our glorious capital, there are winks and nods to British humour around every corner, too.

The Londoner's boutique approach is for making you feel at home, but it says it prioritises the guest experience above all else, which is where round the clock access to its private members club-style space The Residence comes in.

Hidden from the goings on of the rest of the hotel, it's a collection of discrete spaces for you to relax, work and indulge.

The Residence has its own intimate dining room, a whisky room and a moving cart to keep your palate entertained throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the rooms offer utmost luxury and spaces to entertain: from the opulent 200 square-metre Tower Penthouse duplex suite to the expansive Trafalgar Suites with their living areas, kitchenettes and foyers.

The rooms are minimalist and neutral in palette, with floor-to-ceiling windows, meticulous detail and the latest technology, along with art chosen specifically to breathe life and character into the space.

Then there are the vast dining options. On the ground floor, signature restaurant Whitcomb's is for all-day Mediterranean dining. Radiating from the hotel lobby, The Stage is another place for all-day menus while sipping the finest champagne. A highlight of this London hotel with a view is the decadent rooftop izakaya lounge, 8.

This is the spot to experience modern Japanese cuisine and innovative mixology. With the hotel's food overseen by Amir Jati, who spent ten years leading Nobu's private dining team, you're in good hands when dining at The Londoner.

While here, you must also check out The Retreat. A 25-metre pool, barber, blow dry bar, training gym, fitness classes and post-workout or massage refreshments at Refuel - this wellness space has it all. The urban sanctuary has facials by Omorovicza, body treatments by ishga and nails by AMA.

Rates at The Londoner start from £400 per night.
