Inside the home of... Georgia Spray

Art curator Georgia Spray bought her Victorian flat in Stoke Newington, London, just a few years ago, around the same time as she founded online art destination Partnership Editions. She has since filled it with art of varying colours, styles and genres, , creating a stylish yet eclectic enclave.

"The flat has become a treasure trove of Partnership Editions artworks - I am rapidly running out of wall space," laughs Spray. "I don't think I have a particular style or aesthetic, but I am a collector by nature, so everything has been sourced over time and from many different places or trips abroad. I like the flat to tell a story, whether through artworks or objects. I want it to be playful, but not too styled."

"I am a firm believer that artworks can look just as good leaning as hanging, and this allows you to change them around frequently without leaving holes in walls. This long bench made from reclaimed flooring is a great art display bench, as well as being very practical. Two large Blue Nude paintings by AlexandriaCoe currently sit there. The bench also has a two tiered shelving space for shoes which has proven to be incredibly useful in a small flat."

"I love this room because it's where I'm able hang most of my art collection. Almost all of the works are by Partnership Editions artists, as well as a few works by African artists Aime Mpane and Richard Hart who I discovered in my previous job working running Contemporary African Art auctions.

"This room has quite an eclectic mix of styles. I love collecting items of furniture from different places, mixing vintage finds from eBay with more collectible mid-century pieces, such as our vintage ercol chair, and then with the odd high street item thrown in. The chair is from Everything But The Dog who source great mid-century pieces, the Chinoiserie writing desk is from a jumble store on the Roman Road, and the glass and brass coffee table is from Vinterior. The sofa is from sofa.com, but the cushions are from Morocco and I think provide a nice textural contrast to the velvet. I like that things aren't look too matching or deliberate, I think it create

"The kitchen is where we spend most of our time, as the bi-folding doors mean that we can open it completely out to our much-loved garden. The kitchen cabinets are made from reclaimed flooring, and I love the warm glow that they throw into the room. I sourced the Ercol dining chairs from eBay and they've been painted black on the back with a touch of turquoise to add a bit of colour."

"We completely gutted the garden two years ago and it really transformed the flat, becoming a saviour in lockdown. I loved watching the seasons change and the flowers bloom. We worked closely with designer Ula Maria, who created an 'urban jungle' with an aesthetic that mirrored our general ethos of ordered chaos.

"I love the way she has mixed textures, from the herringbone brick to the use of sleepers to form a bridge which invites you from the kitchen out to the dining and seating area."

"We have two fig trees which have grown so much over the past two years and provide the most amazing scent on summer evenings,. They also offer some much needed shade on sunny days, making it the perfect spot to sit and read a book."

As my husband and I often work from home, having a little study has been invaluable, especially in lockdown. The plywood bookshelves house both my art collection and my husband's book collection-it's shrine to both of our most-loved items. I like to think of it as ordered chaos; I like that it's not too arranged."

"As we live in a basement flat, and this room doesn't have a view, I wanted to make sure it still felt light and airy and not too cluttered. For this reason, we opted for more washed out tones of furniture and artwork frames, specifically in Tulip wood. The cushions create a simple colour pop. The art in our bedroom is by Alexandria Coe and Julianna Byrne - I like the fact that the subject matter of the work plays on their location (Alexandria's drawings of bottoms and fishnet stockings hang above my underwear drawer and Julianna's reclining nymph is above the bed."
