A new series of photographs transforming women in their 60s and 70s into pinup models is proving that true beauty is ageless.

British photographer Chrissy Sparks owns and operates DollHouse Photography, specializing in pinup-style photography. In 2017, Sparks expanded her business to include Vamp Boudoir Photography, offering clients glamorous makeover boudoir photo shoots.

The 35-year-old photographer works with women of all ages and body types, and she celebrates each woman with makeup, hairstyling, and an all-female team to ensure each client feels comfortable and confident.

“I want everyday women to have access to a full photo shoot experience and magazine-cover-style images that models usually do,” Sparks told the U.K. Daily Mail. “Through my work, I celebrate women of all shapes, sizes, and ages, and believe that with the right posing, lighting, and styling, I can bring out the best in a woman’s beauty.”

Although she typically works with younger models, Sparks hopes that Vamp Boudoir Photography will empower women of all ages to feel confident in front of the camera.

“Only around 5 percent of our clients are aged 55 and over,” Sparks explained. “The reasons they want a shoot are varied — it could be something just to make them feel sexy.”

Sparks says her clients aren’t interested in “chasing after their youth.” Instead, she works with each client to help the client choose a look and aesthetic that work.

Almost all the women that come to us are very nervous at first, but my team and I work hard to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for them,” she said. “I am guessing that even the most hardened tomboy among us has a Marilyn Monroe facet just itching to dress up in something amazing.”

Sparks offers size-inclusive options for her clients, ranging from U.K. sizes 6 to 20, and allows them to work with a team of professionals for their hair and makeup.

“Many women want a set of beautiful photographs in fabulous surroundings and garments as a keepsake for their own satisfaction and as a confidence booster,” the photographer says. “I sometimes have clients that struggle with a disability in their everyday life and want to see themselves in their best light.”

Empowering women to embrace their bodies and their sexuality can be a quite emotional experience.

The reactions have been everything from bursting into tears of delight, thank you cards and gifts, and many heart-warming accounts of how the shoot has boosted their self-esteem and confidence,” Sparks says. “I love what I do and I am so passionate about getting the right results.”
