The best thing about Halloween? Dressing up. The worst thing about Halloween? You can only (really) wear your costume for one night only.
But Halloween nails? Heck, you can rock those throughout all of October!
It's possible to opt for something subtle, like Holly Willoughby's black French tips, but we think that when it comes to clawing at sweets, or grasping a spooky cocktail, something a bit more eye-catching and impressive is needed - and one of the UK's top nail artists agrees.
Alice McNails has seen a huge increase in bookings for scary nail art, with a lot of classic horror and ghost-y movies at the top of people's wishlists.
She said: 'Halloween is my favourite time of year for nails, even people who don't usually get nail art choose to for the spooky season!
'I am being asked for hand-painted Halloween scenes inspired by iconic movies like Scream, Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
'You can't go wrong with classically inspired Halloween nails, chrome cobwebs in black or nude with a high shine chrome. I am also seeing Beetlejuice-coloured nails, 3D blood or neon dripped, graveyard scenes with shadow effects, witchy and gothic vibes, and bats and tombstones.
'If scary isn't your thing, you can go for something simple like spiders, pink and purple ghosts or eyeball art, for something simple, but eye-catching. My big 2022 Halloween prediction is that we're going to start to see Stranger Things inspired nails!'
