Kerry Washington and Gwyneth Paltrow both attened Spence School in New York City and the 'Scandal' actress once explained that while she and the Goop founder were a couple of years apart in age, she still remebers performing in a school version of Shakespeare with her fellow actress and Goop founder. Kerry said: "She was a senior when I was in junior high school. Even back then, she was Gwyneth Paltrow. We actually did one play together — because she was the queen, of course, in 'Midsummer Night’s Dream', and I was one of the fairies. The middle schoolers were allowed to audition for the fairies. The 'Empire State of Mind' hitmaker - who is now married to pop superstar Beyonce - attended George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School in downtown Brooklyn with fellow rap star Busta. Busta - whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr - revealed in 2020 that Jay, who was known as Shawn Carter in his high school days, once challenged him to a rap battle. He said: "I was just starting to figure out how to master my fascination with the speed rap. He was already on it. He was doin’ it at an incredible level of skillset. There were a lot of kids in our school, there’s like 3,500 kids, but I remember him, he was very tall and skinny, wore lots of ponytails. Pretty sure I bought weed from him. I had to have!"
