'I'm a dog trainer – you should get extremely rare breed if you love Huskies'
It's that time of year when we see huskies pulling sledges in Christmas films, or delightful photographs of them playing in snow.
While the oh-so-cute dogs are popular now, they only really began to gain attention in the UK over the course of the last 20 or so years, says Pets 4 Homes. They were relatively uncommon sights in the dog parks and streets of Britain.
Today, the Siberian husky ranks as the eighth most popular breed in the UK. However a dog breeder recommends if you are wanting a wolf-like dog with beautiful white and grey fur, but don't want your pup to look like many others at the park, there is a rarer breed very similar to the husky.

Will Atherton, who is a clinical canine behaviourist and has raked in over 24.5million likes on TikTok, advises husky fans to get an Alaskan Klee Kai dog. The dog trainer said: "This is why you should get this incredibly rare break - an Alaskan Klee Kai."
He noted: "The reality is the vast majority of people get breeds like this, or huskies or malamute is because of the way that they look, and they are woefully prepared for what that life will then entail."
The expert added: "If you love the Siberian Husky and genuinely think they may be the perfect fit for you, your family and lifestyle, however that's slightly too big for you than the Alaskan Kee Kai could be for you."
Typically the dogs weigh between 7.3kg and 10kg as they are curious, intelligent, agile, active, and quick. They are very energetic - but not hyper - and love exercising.
Hill's Pet Nutrition said: "Unlike other husky breeds, they are highly trainable and make good watchdogs. Also unlike their cousins, they are suspicious of strangers.
"They require their owner's attention and are most likely found at their owner's side. They talk back and howl, but are not excessive barkers."
Will has also warned people there is one dog breed that is incredibly loveable but also powerful - and can be a lot to manage.
