Another Liverpool legend who knows what it's like in the jungle is former boxer Tony Bellew, who took part in last year's series, and finished as runner-up to Sam Thompson. Echoing Abbey and Peter, he said: "Girl you've made it to the end, well done Coleen. You've done absolutely brilliant, everyone's so proud of you in the city.

"You've done scousers and our city so, so proud. Guys, get voting for her, she's done amazing. Being away from her kids, being away from her family, it's really tough in there, it's not easy. She's done amazing. Get voting, call, call, call, come on guys let's get behind her. Good luck Col."

Another person to comment on Coleen making her home city proud was Corrie actress Claire Sweeney, although she admitted her loyalties were initially torn because her co-star Alan Halsall (who plays her on-screen son) was also part of this year's line-up.

"Obviously my loyalty was with my son Alan Halsall," she grinned. "I love you Coleen but now Alan's gone, I can say 'Vote Coleen for the winner tonight!'. I mean, you've been so honest and so lovely, and seeing you with your kids last night just made me cry. So, good luck Coleen. You've done Liverpool proud."

Reality star and former model Danielle Lloyd also wanted to get people voting but said her jungle pal would be a queen regardless of the final result. "I just wanted to say a massive congratulations to Coleen. She has absolutely smashed it in the jungle and Liverpool are so proud of you. Honestly, you've shown everyone how real and genuine you are, and whatever happens tonight you will always be the Queen of Liverpool."
