Celebrities will have to quarantine for two weeks before taking part in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The reality show will return later this year with a new batch of famous faces, trying to prove their adventure and survival skills.

After last year's series moved successfully from the usual Australian jungle setting to Gwrych Castle in Wales due to COVID protocols, this year will see Ant and Dec reopen the castle doors for a second time.

And just like last year, the cast and crew will be asked to comply with strict health and safety measures in order to keep everyone safe.

A spokesperson for ITV told Metro that contestants will form a bubble while on the show so contact with outsiders will be limited.

As for whether ITV will require this year's participants to be vaccinated, the broadcaster has not commented.

Meanwhile, the BBC has received major backlash over how it has handled safety measures for celebrities and pro dancers on the current season of Strictly Come Dancing.

It was reported that up to three pro dancers have refused the COVID jab and enlisted the services of a London law firm to ensure their identity and what they claim are their private medical records are not made public.

Speaking about I'm A Celebrity's return to Wales, ITV head of entertainment commissioning Katie Rawcliffe said: "We've always said we have contingencies in place for the series if the COVID situation continued to bring uncertainty, and after a highly successful run at the castle last year we’re pleased that we can return there.

"I have no doubt the production team will produce another hugely entertaining series."
