We all know the best part about a trip to IKEA isn't getting your new house plant or trekking around the show kitchens, but rather indulging in Swedish meatballs and your own body weight in Daim bars at the end.

Now, IKEA are offering customers an Afternoon Tea, otherwise known as Swedish Fika, this May, and the menu is extensive (and delicious). It includes:

  • Prawn & egg canape / Seaweed pearl & egg canape (v)

  • - Meatball open sandwich / Cheese open sandwich (v)

  • - Krustader with herring / Krustader with cheese & gherkin (v)

  • - Daim cake (v)

  • - Cinnamon bun (v)

  • - Kafferprep pastries & biscuits

Afternoon Tea only costs £5 per person and is available at IKEAs all over the country in customer restaurants, but is selling out quickly so you'd better be quick!

According to IKEA, at the Afternoon Tea their "knowledgeable members of IKEA FOOD will talk you through each section of FIKA, and how it came to be a Swedish tradition. You will also have the chance to make your own canapes to enjoy, before taking away your very own free fika cookbook!"

The event is for over 18's only, and available for 2 people per booking (one guest to every IKEA FAMILY member). Vegetarian options are available.
