ICYMI, Emily Ratajkowski walked the runway at London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week kicked off at the end of last week, bringing with it a handful of celebrities, editors, and talented designers to the country's capital.
But this Fashion Week is a more modest affair than usual, with the timing coinciding with the nation's mourning period following the passing of Her Majesty. Out of respect, many designers either postponed or cancelled their shows, and all events due to take place on the biggest day of the week, Mega Monday (19 September) - the same day as the state funeral - were paused. For the shows that went ahead, there remained a mindfulness about the need to be "respectful", designer Nensi Dojaka tells Vogue.
Dojaka is a recent graduate from Central Saint Martins and, in just a few years, has become one of the most anticipated collections of fashion month. And this season's offering held strong, with A-lister model, Emily Ratajkowski event cameoing on the designer's latest show.
On Saturday (18 September), Emily joined the likes of Paloma Elsesser on the runway, closing the show in a showstopping sheer dress. Emily's semi-sheer raspberry bodice features intricate tulle detailing across the bust, along with multiple spaghetti straps radiating from the top. As for the skirt, the slinky oxblood silhouette falls to the floor, lightly skimming it as the model walks.
As for beauty details, EmRata's hair is drawn back in a wet-look style and the makeup is fairly low-key, favouring fluffy brows and a sheer glossy lip.
Dojaka's designs are a favourite among stylish celebrities like Zendaya, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, Sophie Turner, and Adwoa Aboah. So, chances are, we might see this look on a red carpet in the not-too-distant future.
