Iceland sure does know how to make a statement with its desserts – especially its cheesecakes.

Remember, a while back, when Iceland launched a Vimto cheesecake? At the time we weren’t sure what to make of such a thing. But, when you actually think about it, Vimto is a drink flavoured with grape, raspberry, blackberry, plus a blend of secret herbs and spices. So, really, a Vimto flavoured cheesecake would simply be along the lines of a forest fruits cheesecake – aka fruit coulis slathered on top of a decedent cream cheese filling and biscuit base.

Anyway, we digress… the reason we’ve got you here today, is to tell you about Iceland’s new Fruit Salad and Black Jacks mini cheesecakes. Yup – you read that right… Iceland has launched mini cheesecakes that have been inspired by Barratt’s iconic sweets.

Now, we feel pretty darn excited by the Fruit Salad ones, because they’re described by Iceland as being “mini baked Fruit Salad flavour cheesecakes on a biscuit crumb base”. So, basically a raspberry and pineapple flavoured cheesecake, which sounds pretty yummy, tbh.

But the Black Jacks ones we have more of an issue with. But maybe that’s just because we’re not that keen on Blacks Jacks, as a rule.

So, an aniseed cheesecake? Are we into that? Who knows at this point…

You can pick up these mini cheesecakes in Iceland now and Food Warehouse now for £3 a box.
