Naomi Biden, the granddaughter of Joe Biden, is defending her family after Jesse Watters made a personal attack on the air.

On Wednesday Naomi, 30, shared a Fox News clip on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the clip, Watters compares President Biden's border control policies to his parenting style.

"I knew Biden was bad on the border because he's not the best father," Watters said. "The man can't say no to his own son [Hunter Biden]. He can't say stop. He can't have consequences for actions, and that's what you need. You need a man in charge on the border to say 'this is not going to be allowed...'"

Responding to Watters' remarks, Hunter's eldest daughter wrote, "I have heard so many lies about my family, it takes a lot to make me upset. This crosses the line. Not sure how this man can call himself a reporter and I hope he never has a son or daughter who struggles with anything."

Naomi concluded the post saying, "You can disagree with [the president's] policies without being this ugly."

Naomi's comments come amid Hunter's ongoing legal troubles, and as Republicans aim to frame her father as a political liability for the president.

Hunter — who has been open about struggling with drug addiction in the past — is facing multiple federal charges related to taxes and gun possession. He has pleaded not guilty, and has not yet gone to trial.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre previously said that if Hunter is convicted, President Biden will not pardon him. "The Department of Justice is independent. We give them the space to be independent. And we respect the rule of law," she added.

Hunter, 53, is the president's oldest living child after his son Beau died of brain cancer in 2015 at the age of 46. President Biden often speaks about his close bond with his children and his grandchildren.

"The president and the first lady, they love their son and they support him as he is working to rebuild his life," Jean-Pierre said.
