Hunt for man after broad daylight stabbing in Lewisham

Police are looking to identify a man after a stabbing in Lewisham.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fight and an injured man in Parkside Avenue at 12.10pm on October 28.

It was found that the injured man had already left the scene in a car.

The car stopped at Lewisham High Road where a passing paramedic was flagged down.

Officers discovered that the man, 18, had been stabbed and he was taken to hospital.

His condition was later assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

Police have now issued CCTV footage of a man they are keen to trace following the incident.

Detective Constable Victor Iyalla, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who might have seen this man running in the direction of Parkside Square.

“The attack took place in broad daylight and left the victim critically ill in hospital for some time.

“Violence on our streets cannot be tolerated. If you have information that could help us identify this man, I urge you to contact us immediately.”
