Home and Away's Rose faces romance setback with Mali

Home and Away's Rose Delaney is rejected by Mali Hudson on UK screens next week – just one day after a successful date.
Rose is left baffled when Mali's attitude towards her completely changes within a 24-hour period, but she gets some answers when she encourages him to open up.
In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, Rose catches Mali's eye when they cross paths on the beach.

Mali boldly approaches Rose and asks her out for dinner. Rose is impressed by his confidence and agrees.
Later, sparks fly between Rose and Mali when they meet up for a meal at Salt. Mali walks Rose home and kisses her goodnight.
Although Mali is looking forward to seeing Rose again, he's shocked when he spots her in police uniform the next morning.

When Mali next speaks to Rose, he claims that she should have mentioned she's a cop and hints that he wants nothing more to do with her. Rose feels offended by this, not wanting to be judged purely on her job.
The awkwardness between the pair grows when they both attend a party at the Parata house.
Hoping to clear the air, Rose takes Mali to one side and asks to talk. Mali finally explains his stance – hinting that he has faced prejudice from the police in the past.

Mali tells Rose that, where he comes from, people don't trust cops. Rose asks Mali to look past her uniform and see her for who she is.
The plea works when Mali ultimately agrees to go on another date with Rose, but can they make things work?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30 at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
