The Hollywood Reporter and TikTok Toast Awards Weekend Alongside Oscar Nominees and Top Digital Creators

The Hollywood Reporter and TikTok teamed up for an awards weekend celebration and toast to the nominees on Thursday night, welcoming both those up for awards at Sunday night’s Oscars as well as top digital talent.

Nominees Diane Warren (up once again for best song with “The Fire Inside”) and the team behind best animated feature Nimona were joined at the event — held at Ardor within the West Hollywood EDITION — by Shameik Moore (who voices Miles Morales in best animated feature nominee Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), Jameela Jamil, Oppenheimer actor David Krumholtz, Barbie actor Scott Evans, Blue Beetle director Angel Manuel Soto, Flamin’ Hot stars Jesse Garcia, Annie Gonzalez, Bobby Soto and Fabian Alomar and writer Linda Yvette Chávez, and Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown.

The party, sponsored by Heineken Silver, also welcomed creators including Dylan Mulvaney, Chris Olsen, James Charles, Reece Feldman, Francesca Scorsese, Brittany Broski, Matt Friend and Max Balegde. TikTok creator Carter Gregory captured content for THR throughout the night.

With the party taking place less than 72 hours before Hollywood’s biggest night, the Oscars were top of mind, as Warren noted that even on her 15th nomination, “It’s never old hat, it’s always new hat. I love it, I’m honestly grateful just to be a part of it. It’s the 15th time and it could be my first time. I stay up all night waiting for the nominations. Hearing my song, the name of my song, I already won.”

Becky G will perform Warren’s nominated song, from Flamin’ Hot, during the ceremony as Warren teased, “I was at the rehearsal today; it’s going to be amazing.” She added that she will not be onstage this year as she was last year, but “I think I’d rather be in the audience, it’s less nerve-racking. If I’m watching it, I’m not going, ‘Oh my God, what if I mess up the chord? What if I fuck it all up?’ Which is easy for me to fuck things up.”

Francesa Scorsese, daughter of Killers of the Flower Moon filmmaker Martin Scorsese, expressed her hopes for a Lily Gladstone win, noting, “She’s incredible, she put her all into the film and she deserves everything she’s been getting. She’s amazing, a really wonderful person all around too … seeing her at the Globes, seeing her get all of this acknowledgement has been so wonderful. It would be really special.”

A few of the guests also used the red carpet to weigh in on best picture selections, with Brown admitting, “I’m rooting for Barbie for best picture because it made me cry from beginning to end, and I just thought it was one of the most magical films I saw this year.”

Inside the event, guests danced to tunes spun by DJ Kiss and noshed on tray-passed bites, including sliders, ceviche, ahi tuna cups and Korean fried chicken, while drinks flowed from the bar.

Avatar: The Last Airbender star Dallas James Liu enjoyed his recent breakout moment, mingling inside the party, as Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause posed for photos with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. The social media-heavy crowd also took plenty of video throughout the evening, kicking off a long weekend of awards celebrations and, for some select TikTok talent, an eventual appearance on the Oscar red carpet.
