Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has teased an exit storyline for popular teen character DeMarcus Westwood.
DeMarcus surprises his father Felix in upcoming episodes when he announces plans to move away from the village.
In scenes airing this week, DeMarcus finds himself in danger when he goes head-to-head with troublesome Taz, the drug dealer who's currently threatening Charlie Dean. This drama threatens to spoil the launch of Felix's new youth club.
The tensions surrounding Taz lead to DeMarcus falling out with Felix again. Felix's best friend Warren Fox steps in by reminding DeMarcus how his dad was the one person who stood by him through his wrongful imprisonment ordeal last year.
Despite this, when DeMarcus admits that he's keen to leave Hollyoaks, Warren suggests that it's a good idea to make this fresh start.
Felix feels betrayed when he finds out that Warren has encouraged DeMarcus' plans.
Next week, the drama continues as Felix becomes increasingly desperate and upset over his son's plans to go.
Felix even partly blames his partner Mercedes McQueen, as she was responsible for getting Warren involved in the first place.
Mercedes encourages Felix to have an honest chat with Warren, so the feuding friends go head-to-head once again. In the end, Felix takes his anger out on the furniture rather than his best mate.
Warren reminds Felix that he has a choice on what sort of dad he'd like to be, and suggests that supporting his son is the best thing he can do right now.
Will Felix give DeMarcus his blessing?
Tomi Ade has been playing the role of DeMarcus since autumn 2021.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
