Hollyoaks' Juliet gets a warning from Victor as he tells her he "owns" her

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks' Juliet Quinn (Niamh Blackshaw) was issued a chilling threat in Wednesday's (December 2) E4 first-look episode after she tried to leave the drug ring.

Juliet had tried to escape Victor's (Benjamin O'Mahoney) clutches and get out of the drug dealing game, but he made it very clear that she may never be free of her past.

James (Gregory Finnegan) found out the truth about his sister's behaviour after she admitted she doesn't want Romeo to find out what she'd done and wanted to leave her dark past behind to be with Peri.

James tried to come to his sister's rescue after they had a heart-to-heart, and he asked why she didn't come to him sooner. He suggested they should go to the police, but Juliet made it clear that wasn't an option.

"I would've been killed," she said, "I still could be."

James attempted to get Victor to leave Juliet alone by paying Victor off. He met up with him, making him think he was meeting Juliet, and told him he was comfortable enough to pay off her debt.

"I'm willing to pay. If you cut her loose – for good," he told him.

But despite James proudly telling his sister it was "over" and that she could come home and would "never have to deal again", it wasn't enough.

At the end of the episode, Victor made it clear that he'd make sure she'd never fully escape her past.

Victor forced his way into her home and threatened her family unless she continued to do what he says.

"He's just another member of your precious family I can hurt, or worse, if you don't do what I tell you," he snarled of James.

"I own you, Juliet... you keep your brother off my back, paint on a smile and make him believe you're out of this game... Believe me. I'm never letting you go."

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4. Classic episodes, titled Hollyoaks Favourites, air on Fridays at 7pm on E4.
