On Thursday's (4 February) This Morning, Holly Willoughby opened up about having to cancel her 40th birthday plans.

The TV presenter had hoped to hold a big bash on Friday (5 February) to mark the occasion, but will be taking it online as a result of the ongoing lockdown restrictions. Now, Holly's planning on celebrating with special guests on Zoom.

Presenting the show, she said her plans for her big day were looking "very different" from what she'd originally anticipated.

Holly said: "It's bittersweet as next week I'm celebrating my big 4-0 and tomorrow night would have been my big birthday party that I had to cancel!

"So it will look very different. But as long as I've got a cake and a glass in my hand I'll be fine."

This came as the show shared an entire segment on how to celebrate your birthday during a national lockdown.

Offering his support in the form of comedy, Philip said: "Here have a wotsit Holly, it'll be fine."

Holly turns 40 in five days time, on 10 February 10. She lives with her three children, Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, six, and her husband Dan Baldwin, 45, so no doubt they've got some nice surprises lined up.

Continuing on with the show, both presenters tried several different birthday treats live on air, including plenty of cake.

Happy birthday for the 10th Holly!
