Hold Up... Did This Apprentice Candidate Really Sing On McDonald's And Coca-Cola Adverts?

·1-min read

Unless you had something far more important to do last night, then no doubt you’ll have tuned into the first episode of the new series of The Apprentice. And quite frankly, what’s more important than watching a bunch of smug business folk get taken down a peg or two by Alan Sugar?

Last night we met the 17 candidates competing to win funding to make their business dreams come true, and more importantly Lord Sugar’s approval.

And one of the candidates who made an impression straight out the gate was beauty brand owner Amy Anzel.

The 48 year old surprised viewers, her fellow candidates and Lord Sugar by claiming to have sung on adverts for McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Burger King.

Although, it seems like Lord Sugar didn’t believe a word of it. Either that or he was just keen to use one of his infamous puns.

“Is that true or is that a whopper?” Lord Sugar said to Amy before the boardroom of contestants burst into laughter.

“Yes,” Amy replied. “McDonald's, Burger King, Coca-Cola, I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing.”

I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing was used on a Coca-Cola advert back in 1980 when an eight-year-old Amy appeared with hundreds of other extras as they gathered around a Christmas tree for the festive advert.

But can you spot her?
