The high street chain is selling a grey cotton mini skirt with erm, a hood.
Seemingly designed to resemble the teenage trend of tying a hoodie around your waist in a carefree manner, the £34.99 garment features drawstring ties and even a zip.
The mini skirt is part of the H&M x Moschino collaboration and according to the description, it’s made from ‘lightweight organic cotton sweatshirt fabric’ and boasts ‘a decorative, double-layered drawstring hood at the top.’
A large number were perplexed as to why it showed up as a sponsored suggestion on their feed, as one joked: “Actually offended that the H&M algorithm has calculated that I want to see a skirt with a hood on my timeline.”
While others were more shocked by the price tag, as another added: “Have I actually just seen this advertised to me on Insta? A skirt with a hood? Can someone explain wtf that even is and why H&M are trying to charge folk £34.99 for it?”

Ok, yes women want pockets on our clothes. And while I appreciate your enthusiasm, H&M, a skirt with a hood is for my what, exactly? The disembodied head I trail behind me? #pockets #skirthood pic.twitter.com/OEcYpQ4wzR

I’m certain that H&M skirt with a hood exists because they accidentally made some hoodies without arm holes and they’re just trying to style out the mistake. pic.twitter.com/NcTqdCRNvL
