If you've binge-watched the most recent season of Emily in Paris, you probably expected to see bakeries full of buttery pastries, people sipping on Kir Royales, and sweeping shots of the Paris skyline. One thing we didn't see coming, was a McDonald's cameo.

After pitching the international fast food chain as a luxury client to Sylvie, Emily joined Gabriel for lunch at the French outpost of the golden arches. Instead of seeing "Grimace or the Hamburglar," our titular protagonist encountered macarons, canelés, and of course, the McBaguette.

Lily Collins' character successfully snagged the McDonald's deal, advertising the McBaguette as "un petit plaisir" for everyone to enjoy. But is the McBaguette a real thing?

The answer: yes! The McBaguette was first launched at French McDonald's locations in 2012 and was offered for limited-time stints, made with two beef patties, mustard, two slices of Emmental cheese, and lettuce.

In honour of the launch of Emily in Paris's third season, McDonald's in France (lovingly nicknamed McDo) is selling a McBaguette combo. The meal includes the iconic sandwich, a side, drink, and two macarons.

Sadly for UK viewers, the deal is only available at French McDonald's locations for a limited time. So unless you're jumping on the Eurostar any time soon, you'll miss out on this très chic meal.

However, not all hope is lost. Some TikTok users, like @la_faim, have posted recipes for making your own McBaguette at home. All you need is Google Translate (which is much cheaper than a plane ticket).
