Jordan North is quickly shaping up to be this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! breakout star. Within five minutes of the show being on air, the radio presenter had viewers hooked after he ended up vomiting into a bush before bravely facing his fear of heights and abseiling down a cliff. Since then, we've seen him eat a sheep's penis, form an adorable friendship with Coronation Street star Beverley Callard and teach us all about the power of your 'happy place'.

Here's everything else we know about Jordan North...

What does Jordan North do?

Still in his teens, Jordan started out presenting on community radio station Preston FM and also worked part-time at Blackpool Pleasure Beach radio. At uni, he joined the student radio station and won Bauer Media’s Stars of 2011 competition and ended up presenting a month of shows for The Hits Radio. Following that, he landed a spot at Capital FM and also started to work as a researcher at the BBC for Victoria Derbyshire and Richard Bacon.

He later left the BBC to take on the drive time show at Rock FM across Lancashire, but returned to the broadcaster to cover shows on BBC Radio 1, and he soon became a regular presenter for the station’s weekend shows and Early Breakfast. In 2018, the BBC announced Jordan as part of the new weekend line up at Radio 1 and the same year he launched his podcast 'Help I Sexted My Boss'.

Where's Jordan North's 'happy place'?

Jordan had to face his fear of snakes when he took on his first grim bushtucker trial, Viper Vault. To help him through it, he kept shouting "happy place! happy place". Following the six-minute ordeal, he told Ant and Dec, "My brother, who is a paratrooper, said to me no matter how scared or cold you get to think of your happy place." So where is Jordan's happy place? Well, it's not some luxurious beach or cosy home comfort - it's Burnley FC's Turf Moor stadium.

What have Jordan North's friends and family said about him appearing on I'm A Celeb?

Jordan's Radio 1 pal Nick Grimshaw said there's nothing he's not terrified of. Speaking to Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, he told them Jordan "is genuinely scared of everything."

Grimmy went on to reveal: "He even is scared at the lifts at Radio 1. He won’t get into the lift. He will walk up eight floors, the lifts are scary. Why he’s gone on I’m A Celebrity, I don’t know."

However, he added that he's very proud of his friend for signing up to I'm A Celeb and facing his fears. "I love that he did it. He faced two of his biggest fears, abseiling and then snakes. Hopefully he will have gone through the worst."

Jordan's mum Wendy echoed Nick's comments during an appearance on I'm A Celebrity... The Daily Drop, telling host Vick Hope, "He hates heights, he hates snake, he hates ghosts.. In fact he's scared of quite a lot of things. Lets just hope no ghosts pop up."

Who is Jordan North dating?

Jordan's currently single. He told the Radio Times before heading into the jungle, "I am single at the moment. But that is not the reason why I am going in! I just want to have fun and this is something that will stick with you forever. The fact that I am going to be doing it doesn't seem real."
