The Witcher season two has finally dropped on Netflix, so now's the time to start reliving the whole thing by overanalysing the key moments from the hit show. Well, luckily for us, show star Henry Cavill has been giving some major insights into the filming of season 2 of The Witcher, including the major scene that he improvised. Big spoilers coming up.

It's no massive secret that Henry Cavill is a huge fan of The Witcher, even before starring as Geralt, Cavill was a big lover of the original books and by the sounds of things that has had a big impression on how he interprets the story and his character.

Speaking in a recent interview Cavill revealed that he improvised part of the heartbreaking scene in which his horse Roach dies, explaining that he felt it was missing something that had been included in the books.

"Due to the nature of the plot and the vision, there's a lovely bit missed out from Blood of Elves, where we see Geralt have this experience with Death as he's at the top of Sodden Hill. There's a monolith there with all the names of the majors who have died protecting the North," Cavill told Digital Spy.

"Geralt's still weak from his ghoul bite," Cavill continued. "He climbs all the way up this hill, and we eventually find that he passes out. But we think he's having this experience with Death where Death is talking about a crossing over in this lovely sort of poetic piece. I think it's something like 'across the meadow and through the mist'."

"I thought it was such a shame that we missed that beat in the story. It's such an informative beat, as to Geralt's personality," Cavill explained, adding that he decided to improvise those same lines into the scene - to "not be afraid of She Who Is Waiting For You".

Now, what about season 3?
