Heidi Klum's daughter speaks out over "weird" underwear shoot amid criticism

Last month, Heidi Klum and daughter Leni were on the receiving end of backlash from fans after posing for an underwear campaign together, with some calling it "inappropriate" and "weird." Now, the 18-year-old has responded to the criticism, insisting she's happy with how the photoshoot turned out.

ICYMI, the mother/daughter duo fronted an advertising campaign for Intimissi last month, sharing a selection of photos of them in their underwear on Instagram. "@heidiklum and I for @intimissimiofficial !! You will love their Lingerie as much as we do! #ad," Leni captioned the post, which showed the pair with their arms around each other looking at the camera.

Heidi shared a similar image with the caption, "Together with @intimissimiofficial we celebrate women; the love and support between a mother and her daughter; and how confident, beautiful and happy lingerie can make you feel."

While many were complimenting Heidi and Leni on the snaps, others were criticising their decision to pose in underwear together. "This is so creepy…" one person wrote, while another said, "Completely inappropriate."

Others seemed to take offence over their relationship, with someone adding, "You can do this by yourself or with other women but not your own mother."

Thankfully, it appears Leni isn't bothered by the criticism, speaking to Page Six about how proud she is of the campaign. "I honestly didn't look at a lot of the reactions," she explained. "I am overall happy with the campaign and I had an amazing day with my mom."

She continued that she "had an amazing time" and thought "the photos turned out great", adding "I love shooting with her. Just the advice she gives me, the way she works, everything about her, I can go on and on."
