As a recent guest on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Heidi Klum talked about everything from her career as a supermodel to her status as the official Halloween queen.

The 50-year-old mom of four also provided some sage wisdom in the romance department for the Daddy Gang, as Cooper’s loyal listeners are fondly known. The podcast’s official Instagram account shared a snippet of the conversation on Feb. 1.

“It doesn’t matter how hard you love someone, it doesn’t make them love you the same or back as hard as you love them,” Klum stated. “You know, sometimes you think a certain way, but their head is differently in there, they don’t think the same way how you do.”

The SI Swimsuit legend then shared that she’s experienced past relationships in which she felt she loved the other person significantly more than they loved her. Klum also offered up an anecdote about a previous partner who repeatedly cheated on her. She said that once she learned what was going on, it explained the bad feeling in the pit of her stomach she constantly experienced throughout the relationship.

“You just realize sometimes that you don’t get it back the same way,” she added of love. “And even though you go full on, if they’re just not the same way, it just it doesn’t change.”

Fans who resonated with Klum’s line of thinking chimed in to the comments section with feedback.

“Favorite part. So well said,” one person applauded.

“I agree always listen to your gut,” someone else wrote.

“That is a great point about love and relationships!” another follower stated.
