They gave us such exciting on-screen moments full of drama, adrenaline and even suspense, due to their incompatibility and rivalry. In real life though… these celebs seem to be super BFFs and some of them have even lived together. Find out which stars who played enemies on-screen are real-life close friends.

In the 'Star Wars' sequel trilogy, Adam Driver plays Kylo Ren, Dark Side Sith, whilst Daisy Ridley plays Rey, who becomes a Jedi. The sworn enemies eventually team-up to save the galaxy and defeat Darth Sidious once and for all. Off set, however, the two stars have always been firm friends, something that was very clear during a 2017 article for V magazine, for which they interviewed each other. Daisy said: "We became besties last year,” before Adam stated that being friends with her was his favorite part of the filming process.

In ‘Black Panther’, the rivalry between Nakia and Erik, Nyong’o and Jordan’s characters respectively, is very much evident. While she stays loyal to T’Challa, he tries to take control of the situation in Wakanda. However, the film stars are good friends behind the scenes. Proof of that are the several pictures they have posted on Instagram, showing that they have even travelled together. In 2018, on Lupita’s birthday, Michael even described her as a person who has a “beautiful soul” on Instagram.

The legendary ‘X-Men’ enemies, Professor X and Magneto, played by Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, respectively, are super close friends in real life. Brothers and enemies Loki and Thor are played in the MCU by Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, respectively, Although they wage war across the galaxy in their movies the two actors are true bros off-screen. In a 2015 tweet Tom described Chris as his “brother from another mother”, after the latter had finally decided to join the social media platform.

In the conclusion of the 'Star Wars' prequels, 'Episode III – Revenge of the Sith', we see Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), who has been trained to become a Jedi by Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), turn to the Dark Side. The final scenes show Kenobi defeat his former apprentice and leave him to die, burned and limbless, on Mustafar. He survives to become part machine and part man Sith Lord Darth Vader. In real-life, the pair are like brothers. Speaking about them reprising their roles as Obi-Wan and Vader for a new Disney+ series, Ewan said: "I really love Hayden. And I had never fallen out with him, but I had not seen him for a long time. Occasionally I’d hear somebody had seen him, and we’d stay in touch very rarely. Now and again. But as we were developing this, there was talk that we wanted to have Vader in the story line, and that Hayden was going to be up for talking about it.”
