Harry Styles is just weeks away from releasing his highly-anticipated second studio album 'Fine Line' and he's showing no signs of slowing down.

Stepping out in New York City ahead of his appearance on Saturday Night Live, Harry showed off his eclectic style in a festive outfit that reminds us of one of our favourite royal style icons.

Dressed in a pair of pin stripe navy trousers, a pale blue striped shirt, navy sweater vest and a blush pink boots, Harry oozes effortless cool.

Looking every inch the British muso, Harry's rocking the longer hair and opting for a slightly unshaven look. Then, he ties it all together with black nail polish and his signature stacked rings, with his arm tattoos on full display (including his famous anchor and eagle ink).

But it was his adorably festive navy sweater vest adorned with a sheep print that really has us talking.

Rewind back to 1981 and Princess Diana wore a near-identical sheep style in red at the polo.

Then, two years later, Diana stepped out yet again wearing the same jumper, this time styling it with oversized sunglasses and pointed pumps:

We can’t help but think Harry was intentionally channelling the late Princess, who remains a major style icon, as the singer's style becoming more considered over the years.

From pussy bow blouses to those Gucci suits, the former One Direction singer has been embracing gender-fluid sartorial choices recently. Just take his Lights Up video, that blue suit by Harris Reed was everything.

The 25-year-old recently announced his 'Love On' world tour on Instagram wearing another one of his coolest looks to date:

Harry opted for a pink shirt and high waisted white palazzo tourers for the album cover which was shot by none other than fashion photographer Tim Walker, proving Haz's commitment to keeping his looks and art work high far-shun.

With an upcoming tour to come, this is just the beginning of what will surely be an epic era from Mr Styles' style.
