  • Harry Potter's Rupert Grint has revealed a "spark" between Tom Felton and Emma Watson, and our Hogwarts-loving hearts are weeping.

  • Fans were previously besides themselves with the potential romance, when the actors shared a photo of Tom teaching Emma how to play the guitar in the summer.

A Slytherin / Gryffindor romance has always been the ultimate Harry Potter fan fiction, and now it doesn't seem so far-fetched after all. Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, has revealed a romantic connection between Emma Watson and Tom Felton, who played Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy. Holy hippogriffs!

Harry Potter fans were sent wild in August 2019 when Tom and Emma shared a photo playing the guitar in their pyjamas together, off the back of their secret Hogwarts reunion in November 2018.

And now, Rupert has been adding fuel to the fire, suggesting there was a "spark" between Tom and Emma during their Harry Potter days. A! Spark! During! Their! Harry! Potter! Days! We can't.

Asked by Entertainment Tonight about whether Tom and Emma had chemistry, Rupert revealed, "There was always something. There was a little bit of a spark."

He added that he didn't want to stir up any drama, though, continuing: "But we were kids. It was like any kind of playground romance. I didn't have any sparks. I was spark-free."

That was information we didn't know we needed until now. Speaking of a potential Harry Potter reunion, Rupert continued: "It was an amazing period of our lives, but I don't think any of us would be keen to jump back into it just yet. But never say never."

Could we say the same about a Tom/Emma relationship, hmm?

Emma previously admitted to fancying the actor when they were younger. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2012, she said: "Between the ages of 10 and 12, I had a really terrible crush on Tom Felton. We love a bad guy and he was a few years older and he had a skateboard. And that just did it, really. He used to do tricks on it. He was so cool."

Amazing.
