Prince Harry ensured his late mother Princess Diana was with him throughout his entire wedding.

In the planning and the ceremony itself, subtle tributes to his mother were littered throughout – and eagled-eyed royal fans have even noticed a possible link to Diana in the couple’s official wedding photos.

Released yesterday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unveiled their official royal wedding photographs, shot by their engagement photographer, Alexi Lubomirski.

In one of the series of three photos, the newlyweds are pictured alongside their page boys and bridesmaids in the soon-to-be iconic image.

While the bride is perched on the floor, Harry sits on an emerald green chaise longne.

This is the same chair he sat on while on his mother Princess Diana’s lap during his official christening photos in 1984.

The photos, taken in Windsor, depict Diana sat beside the queen while Prince Charles rests on the arm of the chair beside her.

Harry’s brother, and best man at his wedding, Prince William, can be seen grinning in the middle of the floor.

The couple’s wedding photo was taken in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle following the history-making ceremony held at St George’s Chapel on May 19.

The group of children, including six bridesmaids dressed in white, cap-sleeved Givenchy dresses, and four page boys dressed in miniature versions of Prince Harry’s outfit, are all smiling at the camera.

The children, aged from two to seven, include a mixture of Harry’s and Meghan’s nieces and nephews, godchildren, and children of family friends.

The newly-title Duke and Duchess of Sussex honoured Harry’s mother in many other ways throughout the wedding, including using her favourite white garden roses in their flower arrangements and forget-me-nots in Meghan’s wedding bouquet.

They also had the same hymn sung at her funeral – ‘Guide Me, O Thy Great Redeemer’ – in their wedding service, and Meghan wore Diana’s stunning Aquamarine wing to the evening reception.
