Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Christmas card was shared by the animal welfare charity Mayhew on social media on Wednesday (23 December).

The festive card features a colourful sketch of Harry, Meghan and their young son, Archie Harrison. The family of three appear to be posing together in a garden by a small Wendy house, which has a decorated Christmas tree standing by it. They are also joined in the portrait by their two beloved dogs, Guy and Pula.

A message in red script above the sketch reads simply: "Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

Alongside the Christmas card, Mayhew confirmed that Meghan and her family made a personal donation to the charity, for which she has been patron since 2019.

"We’re thrilled to receive wonderful Christmas wishes from our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex, who also made a personal donation, helping dogs, cats and our community," the tweet reads. "From all of us at Mayhew, thank you and Merry Christmas."

On an accompanying link to Mayhew's website, we can also read Meghan's special message from the Christmas card.

"This year we, as a family, have made donations to several charities with you in mind," she says. "From a local California organisation that helps families transition out of homelessness, to two of our U.K. patronages: one that supports animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend that helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honoured their work on behalf of all of us."

While the Christmas card features a drawing rather than a photo, this is the first time fans have been given a peek at young Archie, now 18 months, in a while. And, from the looks of it, it seems that the little one may have inherited dad Harry's hair!

Wishing Harry, Meghan and little Archie a very Merry Christmas!
