The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed with the Harry Walker Agency, an organisation which already looks after the likes of Barack and Michelle Obama and Bill and Hillary Clinton. The royal couple – who are now living in Los Angeles – will speak on social issues and causes that are important to them.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Harry and Meghan have signed a speaking engagement contract with the company and are expected to take part in events which focus on racial justice, gender equity, mental health and environmental preservation, all of which are topics that the pair have touched on during their time as royals.
This news hints at the career direction that Harry and Meghan will now go in, following their move to Los Angeles after leaving the UK at the beginning of the year. They are also set to launch their own charitable organisation Archewell in the coming months, although there has been some delay as a result of the global pandemic.
Over the last few months, the couple have been spending time with various charitable organisations and have been spotted delivering food parcels to those in need, as well as volunteering at at a Los Angeles bakery this week, where they helped to prepare meals.
"Thank you to Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for visiting and standing in kinship with our café and bakery teams yesterday," Homeboy Industries shared on their Instagram. "Our staff were thrilled to work alongside them as they helped prepare food and learned more about our newly launched #FeedHOPE program, which employs our program participants to provide meals to food-insecure seniors and youth across Los Angeles in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic."
