The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared a special memory from their 2018 wedding during their special episode of Archewell Audio on Spotify.

The 35-minute one-off special features musings and anecdotes from famous guests - including Tyler Perry, novelist Matt Haig, tennis player Naomi Osaka, James Corden and George the Poet - as they reflect on the year and look ahead with optimism to 2021.

Harry and Meghan ended the discussion by playing their wedding song, This Little Light of Mine by Etta James, and revealed that their song holds a deeper significance in the wake of the pandemic.

The duke said the couple had chosen the track as a reference to "the power we each have within us to make this world a better place", which is needed now more than ever due to the devastating impact of Covid 19.

Harry shared that it is "a song that means so much to us", while Meghan remembered that it was playing "while we were walking down the steps of the church".

"It was the music that we wanted playing when we started our lives together," the duchess explained. She then quoted Martin Luther King: "Because as we all know, 'darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that…'"

Harry added: "The message of this song is one we hold so dearly."

The royal couple also shared their condolences to those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19, and expressed their immense gratitude to those on the front line of the pandemic.

The duke and duchess also featured a very special guest making their unexpected debut on the podcast - their 19-month-old son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Towards the end of the episode, Harry can be heard saying to Archie, presumably gesturing towards the microphone: "You can speak into it."

Meghan can then be heard asking: "Archie, is it fun?" Rather adorably, Archie then copies his mum by repeating the word fun.

Harry then leads Archie in saying, "Happy New Year," to all of Archewell Audio's listeners. "After me. Ready? Happy," Harry says to his son, who then says, on cue: "Happy."

Meghan and Harry continue by saying, "New," to which Archie says, "New … Year," completing the phrase all on his own. Understandably, Meghan and Harry sounded extremely proud of their son, with Harry even excitedly exclaiming: "Boom!"

Discussing why they wanted to record the episode, Harry revealed: "As we come to the end of this year, and look to the future … let's hold onto the lessons we've learned about how important it is to take care of one another and how meaningful our connections are, even when they're physically impossible."

Meghan added: "We thought, 'What if we can bring together some people that inspire us—people that we admire—and get their thoughts on what they learned from 2020'."
