Whenever we see a new and daring fashion trend, you can bet your bottom dollar that the Kardashians have given it a go. The sisters, who have sported countless naked dresses and corseted looks over the years, have also proved themselves to be fans of the 'upside-down bikini' trend, to the point where we now kinda associate it with them. And now, with summer fast approaching, it seems that those outside the Kardashian family are also getting in on the trend, with Hailey Bieber spotted being the latest A-lister to wear the look.

Now, for those who aren't yet convinced about the trend, perhaps Hailey's version will persuade you. Overnight, Hails took to Instagram to share snaps from a recent Vogue Eyewear photoshoot. In the post, the model's seen reclining back while wearing a pair of killer shades and, you guessed it, a bikini top worn the wrong (or perhaps right?) way up. The tangerine tone perfectly complements the highlights of her hair, with the outfit accessories with a single pendant drop necklace.

For those wondering how you can tell that the top is actually upside down, the key is in the ruching. Typically, string bikinis feature ruching underneath the cup, but, with this trend, the ruching is actually located above the cup.

So, why are celebs so keen on the look, you ask? By rotating the tops 180 degrees, the effect is pretty darn flattering, adding extra interest to a classic bikini by creating a curved neckline.

Notably, while this design is definitely a nod to the upside-down trend, the vertical seams on the base of each cup make it look like this top is actually deliberately designed to be worn 'upside down'. Cool huh?

Let's take a look back at the Kardashians' best upside-down 'kini moments.
