Like most beauty trends, eyebrows are something that go through different stages.

In the 90s, it was all about skinny, pencil-thin brows a la Kate Moss and Drew Barrymore. In complete contrast, the arrival of the 2010s brought in thicker, bushy brows – just look to Cara Delevigne.

Today, thicker brows are still the most popular trend – except, rather than the drawn-on, perfectly sculpted shapes we’ve seen in recent years, it’s all about messy, feathery hairs now.

In fact, eyebrow lamination, a beauty treatment that involves ‘setting’ your hair in upwards strokes, is one of the most popular options on beauty booking website Treatwell.

Whether you get brow lamination or set your brows upwards, you might be inclined to fill in any sparse areas but Hailey Bieber might have just set a whole new brow trend.

When attending the Elle Women in Hollywood awards, Hailey had her usual glowy, makeup look – which was inspired by Julia Roberts, no less – but refreshingly she rocked sparse brows for the occasion.

Hailey’s go-to makeup artist Mary Phillips posted a close-up picture of Hailey’s makeup, in which you can fully appreciate her feathery, sparse brows (swipe):

So surely that’s another morning step we can miss in favour of more time in bed, right?

Good lookin’ out, Hailey.
