Hailey Bieber has spoken openly about how deals with jealousy over Justin Bieber and confirmed their dating timeline following longstanding rumours he moved on swiftly with the model after his split from Selena Gomez.

In a newly-released video on Ashley Graham’s Pretty Big Deal podcast, the 23-year-old discussed how she copes with the green-eyed monster.

‘Y’all are two good looking people! Like very good looking. How do you guys handle jealousy?’ Graham asked the star.

‘I think for me personally, I think jealousy is like a normal, natural, human being feeling. No matter what, if I could take the jealousy out of my body, I would but like, I can’t. And neither can anybody,’ she began.

‘I would say that I know for somebody in his position, there’s always going to be people that don’t care that he’s married and that will try if they feel like there’s an opportunity, or if they don’t feel like there’s an opportunity, they’ll just try anyway,’ she said of her husband of two years, Justin.

‘I’m like, it’s just up to you not to let anybody think they can get that far,’ she noted.

In the first episode of his and Hailey’s Facebook Watch series The Biebers on Watch earlier this year, Justin said that he was working on feeling jealous.

‘There's a lot of things that I needed to work on. Forgiveness things. Jealousy things. Insecurities that I needed to - that I didn't even realise I had until I chose to spend my life with you,’ he told his wife.

Elsewhere in her interview with Graham, Hailey confirmed the timeline of her relationship with her now-husband, following years of rumours that there might have been a crossover between his time dating Gomez and the model.

Hailey and Justin first met in 2009 as teenagers and enjoyed an on-off romance until 2016, when it's believed the pair parted ways.

Bieber rekindled his on-off relationship with Gomez in 2017 (they first confirmed they were an item in 2011), before it was believed they split in May 2018. A month later, Justin shared images of him and Hailey on social media and confirmed their engagement to each other in the Bahamas in July that year.

'Contrary to popular belief, he had been single for a while and I had been single and we were kind of just trying to figure life out,' she said.

'People don't know, too, we had been talking for a while before we got back together. Everything happened really fast, I think everybody knows that. Everybody was kind of, like, 'Hey, did you get married?'"

The Biebers tied the knot at a Manhattan courthouse in September 2018, and a year later enjoyed a more traditional wedding at the Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel in South Carolina on September 30 2019.

Over the years, Gomez and the model have never explicitly addressed each other in interviews nor online but have suggested there is no ill will between them.

After the pair were spotted dining separately with friends at West Hollywood go-to restaurant, Craig's, in January, their mutual pal Madison Beer replied to negative comments regarding her outing with the runway star.

‘I just had dinner with my friend hailey of 10 years... and that's it [sic],’ Beer wrote in the comments section of a photograph on Instagram that was filled with snake emojis from users.

‘How is that a crime? i love selena.. always have ... and i would literally never in a million years try to upset her??? this is just mean and unnecessary and nothin happened.’

Gomez later jumped to Beer’s defence, adding: ‘This is disgusting reading all of this.

‘This wasn't intentional whatsoever. I'm so disappointed that people would speak to someone like this. I have known Madison since she was a baby and watched her continue to become the woman she is.

‘There is no issue.’
