This Spinach Wilting Hack Will Save On Washing UpJoel Goldberg

Any hack that involves less washing up is a good one in our books, so we were thrilled to see TikTok embracing a useful tip for wilting spinach.

If you're making a pasta recipe that involves spinach, you can use the water that your pasta's been boiling in to wilt it. Genius.

Foodtok has been giving the hack a go, and it looks pretty simple. All you have to do is load your spinach into a sieve or colander, then drain your pasta over it (saving a couple of spoonfuls of the starchy water to create your silky pasta sauce, of course).

The hack wilts the spinach in a couple of minutes, without the use of an extra pan. We love to see it.

Commenters say it could work for kale too, which is a handy tip!

However, some FoodTokers had other ideas about how to wilt spinach while cutting down on washing up. One commenter said that chucking the spinach into the pan with the pasta for a minute or two did the trick, whereas others said that they usually drain the pasta and leave it in the colander while they use the pasta pan to sauté the spinach with olive oil.

If this hack's not doing it for you, we've got loads (and we mean LOADS) of other ways to cook spinach.
