It's not April Fool's Day, no you're not hallucinating, and somehow that headline isn't fake news. You have in fact read it correctly, whether you wish you had or not.
Let's say this one together: Gwyneth Paltrow is launching a candle that smells like her orgasm. And breathe.
After launching the internet-breaking 'This Smells Like My Vagina' candle in February, founder of the controversial wellness brand Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow, has outdone herself with her next scented candle drop, 'This Smells Like My Orgasm'.
Speaking on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon from her home, Paltrow used the inevitable line of questioning about her viral vagina candle to plug her latest scandalous scent. Presenting Fallon with a box embossed with fireworks (ok, this is actually becoming a Carry On film now), the actress revealed the new candle, telling Jimmy, 'We have a new one, which actually might be more for you to give to your wife.'
If, like us, you weren't sure that orgasms smelt like anything at all, at least nothing you would want to infuse into wax and burn at a dinner party, then let Goop's website enlighten you.
Described as 'sexy, surprising, and wildly addictive', the wink wink nudge nudge candle scent includes 'explosive' notes of gunpowder tea, neroli, grapefruit, Turkish rose absolutes, and 'ripe' cassis.
If Gwyneth's orgasm smells like her weekly Whole Foods shop does that mean ours smells like prosecco, Wotsits and too many take aways? We'll get back to you.
Unfortunately for Goop and orgasm fans in the UK, the 'This Smells Like My Orgasm' candle (£59) isn't available to ship quite yet. Consider this your cooling off period to decide whether Gwyneth is fully trolling us or if she genuinely thinks her orgasm is a piece of perfume mastery, and whether you're still willing to spend just short of 60 quid on it anyway. The hype is real people.
