Gwen Stefani has revealed her beauty hack for mastering the perfect pout.

The No Doubt frontwoman is rarely seen without her signature red lipstick, and as part of her new GXVE cosmetics line, even introduced her go-to crimson shade - Original Me.

In an interview for Glamour, Gwen shared that the secret to her look is slightly overdrawing her lip line with a lip pencil and then using lipstick.

"Overdrawing of the lips works. It's real. I did it one time when I first learned it, and my kids were calling me out, like, 'What did you do to your lips?' They're teenagers, so they know what's going on," she smiled. "I was like, 'No, I swear. Let me take it off and I'll show you. This is overdrawn right here. And when you overdraw the top lip like that, you just get this really pouty (look).' You see people hacking it all the time and it works."

After years of experience doing her own make-up for gigs and appearances, Gwen can do her lipstick in "less than a minute".

And even though she has been using make-up artists in recent years, the singer was forced to do her own beauty look at the 2022 Met Gala in May because the professional she wanted to use wasn't available at the last minute.

"We did a make-up playdate with this new girl. It was so fun and they're both super talented and I learned so much. But when it came to the Met Ball, she had an emergency and couldn't do my make-up. And I brought my kit, thank God. I had to do my make-up," the 52-year-old added.
