‘He’s the guy who used to sleep with my wife’: Stars who have felt jealous, envious of other celebs

Jealousy and envy are emotions often known to run rife in Hollywood. Whether it's related to ex-partners, projects or talent, the following stars have admitted to feeling some of them toward other stars.

‘La La Land’ star Emma Stone admitted in a Vanity Fair interview, that she felt intimidated by the talent of fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence. She said: "I remembered we were completely different, and there was room for everyone."

Comedienne Amy Schumer revealed in an episode of ‘Amy Schumer Presents: 3 Girls, 1 Keith’, that she was envious of fellow comedy star Whitney Cummings because she successful both on and off screen, having created the series ‘Two Broke Girls’. When Amy told her agent how she felt and her wish of having a TV show as well, she was simply told to: “Work harder.”

‘Grace and Frankie’ actress Jane Fonda told Vanity Fair that she felt jealous after learning that ‘Joy’ actress Jennifer Lawrence and comedienne Amy Schumer shared a strong bond. Fonda said: "I told her, when I heard that she called Amy Schumer and said 'I'm in love with you,' I felt so jealous."

It’s well known that comedian Kevin Hart and actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson are close friends. But an interview with Access Hollywood, however, Kevin admitted to being a little bit jealous after seeing that Dwayne and actor Danny DeVito are also good pals. An Instagram picture of DeVito and Johnson walking together, was shown during the interview, to which Kevin said: "Made me jealous. Hurt me a little bit."

The 'Skyscraper' singer felt jealous towards fellow Disney Channel star, Miley Cyrus during their time as teenage comedy actresses because Miley was a party gir and Demi was not! In the interview Demi said: "There was a time when I was jealous of people who were able to party. For instance, Miley, in her music video 'We Can't Stop,' her whole thing was partying and not giving a f***. Part of me was super jealous that I couldn't be like that.”

Jennifer Aniston visited the set of Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’, where the host admitted to feeling jealous after seeing the ‘Friends’ actress was vacationing with ‘the other Jimmy (Kimmel)’. Fallon said: “I’d be fun on vacation,” but Aniston rushed to made it clear her and Kimmel’s trip was not precisely recreational, but for business purposes.

‘Shape of You’ hitmaker Ed Sheeran has admitted to feeling envious of artists in general. In an interview with news agency DPA, the music star revealed that’s why he does not attend music festivals as part of the audience. He said: "I just think, 'Oh man, I want to be up there.’"

‘Dirty Dancing’ star Jennifer Grey used to date Johnny Depp and claimed in her memoir ‘Out of the Corner’, that ‘Edward Scissorhands’ actor was "crazy jealous". Part of the book read: “He'd started missing his flights home to LA having overslept or, when he did come home, he'd be crazy jealous and paranoid about what I'd been up to while he was gone."

‘Bad Boys’ actor Will Smith confessed during a talk on ‘The Breakfast Club’, that he was jealous of the relationship wife Jada Pinkett Smith had with the late rapper, Tupac Shakur. She and the hip-hop star attended The Baltimore School of Arts together. Will said: “He was the image of perfection, but she was with the fresh prince,” referring to his ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ character.

According to The Daily Mail, actor Ashton Kutcher admitted to feeling jealous of then-wife Demi Moore’s close relationship with her ex and father of her daughters, Bruce Willis. Kutcher said: “At first it was difficult. You think, ‘He’s the guy who used to sleep with my wife’, but once you overcome the jealousy, which is just your own personal insecurity, it gets easier.” Ashton then added that Bruce is now one of his favorite people to spend time with.
