Pastry fans can now look forward to chowing down on some delicious festive treats, as Greggs has revealed its Christmas range.

The bakery chain has launched its Christmas menu and with the return of some seasonal favourites including the the iconic festive bake, there’s plenty to feel jolly about.

Before you panic that second lockdown could stop you getting your hands on these festive delights, rest assured, everything in the range is available for delivery via Just Eat or for click and collect.

Last year’s hit festive bake is back for another turn, with pieces of chicken breast, sage and onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce, all encased in golden puff pastry with a crunchy crumb topping.

The chicken pastry delight has garnered a host of fans who hotly anticipate its return in the run-up to Christmas each year.

Greggs has been teasing the festive bake’s return since the summer, sending die-hard fans into a complete frenzy.

“If anything can save 2020, it’s the Festive Bake #79Days,” the bakery chain wrote.

The bake is so popular it has even spawned its own Facebook page -named the Greggs Festive Bake Society.

This year,Greggs customers will be able to get their hands on the Festive Bake from 5 November in branches across the UK for £1.60.

As well as the cult festive bake, the Christmas range also includes some other great savoury choices, including the Pigs Under Blankets Baguette, which also proved popular last year.

The quirky take on a classic is filled with succulent pork sausages, sweetcure bacon, pork, sage and onion stuffing, with a cranberry and port sauce. Yum!

If you have a sweet tooth you can choose from the delicious sounding Mini Gold Caramel Shortbread, which is finished with a gold coloured decoration to add a little seasonal sparkle. Or the Christmas Novelty Bun, which offers a festive twist on a Greggs classic, hand finished with sugar sprinkles.

Vegans haven’t been forgotten, with the bakery launching Vegan Sweet Mince Pies - crumbly shortcrust pastry, filled with sweet mincemeat made from vine fruits, Bramley apple, candied orange and lemon peel.

When it comes to festive drinks, Greggs will be offering a salted caramel latte, mint mocha and mint hot chocolate for £1.95 each.

The festive menus are beginning to roll in across the high street now, as Costa recently revealed it has raided our favourite Christmas chocolate tins for inspiration for their range this year.
