Greggs Has Announced That Two New Vegan Options Are Being Added To The Menu

In the last few years, Greggs has given the people what they want in the shape of a vegan sausage roll, followed soon after by a vegan steak bake.

But people following a plant-based diet have been crying out for more vegan snacks to be added to the menu. There was a glimmer of hope in the shape of a vegan chicken bake a while ago, but still no sign of that…

But instead, Greggs has just announced that it will be adding not one, but TWO new vegan products to its menu.

Drum roll please….

A Greggs spokesperson has said: “Over the coming weeks we’ll be trialling our delicious Vegan Ham and Cheeze Baguette and Vegan Sausage Breakfast Roll in a very small number of shops, with a wider launch planned for later in the year.”

So, what do we know about these exciting new products? Well, the sausage bap will feature a Quorn sausage and it’ll cost from £1.90. The vegan ham and Cheeze baguette will cost £2.95 and will be made up of ham made with Quorn Mycoprotein and cheddar flavoured vegan cheese slices.

No word on which Greggs stores will be trialling the new vegan treats, but as soon as we know, you’ll be the first to know.
