There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

As one of the most iconic faces from the '90s and early 2000s, Devon Aoki took the runway by storm and graced campaigns for houses like Balenciaga, Versace, Loewe and Chanel. I myself was drawn to her ineffable sense of cool when I stumbled upon a photo of her while scrolling through Pinterest: She embodied a certain playfulness and versatility in every shot from that era — and as the seemingly unstoppable Y2K revival rages on, her sartorial choices feel more relevant than ever.

Aoki went from model to actor, one of her most recognizable (and fashionable) roles being Suki in 2003's "2 Fast 2 Furious." Her fuchsia cowhide chaps, school-girl skirts and spliced crop tops in the film are certainly show-stoppers, but it was her look for its Los Angeles premiere that stands out to me.

While Suki's style may have been more tomboyish and edgy, Aoki embraced femininity on the red carpet in a halter-neck gown featuring a very 2000s patchwork print, featuring cheetah and floral patterns stitched together and a flared mermaid hem. She accessorized with a simple pearl drop earring and allowed her brunette locks to fall in loose waves. This look would do numbers on Depop today.

Although Aoki lays low from the spotlight these days, it's safe to say her style stands the test of time. Emulate her "2 Fast 2 Furious" premiere look with the pieces below.
