Grace F Victory has woken up from her COVID coma
Popular YouTuber, writer and blogger Grace F Victory, who was placed in an induced coma ten weeks ago after she contracted coronavirus, shortly after giving birth to her first child, has shared the joyful news that she is awake.
Sharing the much longed-for update on Twitter, Grace tweeted "I'm awake" along with a simple white heart emoji. She also shared an update on her young son, saying, "Baby boy is thriving at home x." The news comes as a huge relief to her thousands of followers who have regularly been sharing their hopes for a positive update on Grace's health.
The initial news that Grace had been placed into an induced coma was shared on her Instagram account on the 28th of December, via a statement written by her family.
It reads: "As you guys know, Grace gave birth on Christmas Eve to a beautiful baby boy, who is currently doing so well. We love him so much. Grace developed Covid-19 two weeks ago and although her symptoms were mild at first, they worsened as the days went on, which meant they had to deliver the baby as soon as possible, as she was just too unwell to carry on with the pregnancy."
The statement continues on to say, "Grace was admitted into intensive care on Christmas Day due to issues with her breathing and therefore they had to make the decision to put her into an Induced Coma, to give her body the rest it needs in order to recover. She is currently stable."
Grace's family also asked for people to keep her in their prayers and thoughts, while sharing that they felt positive that she would emerge from her coma stronger than ever.
They added, "We love her so, so much and we know she'll come out of this stronger than ever. She has dedicated her whole career to healing people, we now ask that you pray to heal her. Love, Grace's family & bubba x."
It's such wonderful news that Grace is awake and we're sending her all of our very best well wishes in the hopes that she makes a full and fast recovery. ❤️
