Gloria Hunniford has revealed she is thinking about getting her first tattoo at the age of 80.
The Rip Off Britain presenter used to discourage her sons and late daughter Caron Keating from getting inked themselves, but told the Mirror that now she is 80 she has started to hanker after an angel or butterfly marking of her own.
The TV star admitted her husband Stephen Way thinks it is a bit “silly”, but she insisted that if she does decide to get a tattoo, she’ll only get a “tiny” design.
“So he thinks, well, if you want to do it, do it,” she added.
Hunniford, who will celebrate her 81st birthday in April, told the publication: “Caron and I used to have terrible rows when she wanted her ears pierced, but I wouldn’t even let her have her ears pierced.
“And now I’m in my latter years, I would like a little butterfly or a pretty angel of some sort.”
Hunniford has been a television and radio presenter for more than 40 years and is well known for appearing on shows such as This Morning, Rip Off Britain and Loose Women.
She is mum to three children with her former husband Don Keating – two sons and daughter Caron, who died in 2004 at the age of 41 after battling cancer.
She tied the knot with hairdresser Stephen Way in 1998.
