We are all scared of something. Some of our fears are rational and some are definitely IRRATIONAL! If you're trembling in terror over balloons, or shaking through nerves about racoons, then you may have issues! These stars have been brave enough to go on the record with what gives them the heebie-jeebies...

The former ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ star might have made her name as a defeater of the undead but she is petrified of graveyards as well as always In the 90s, Sarah Michelle said: "I have an irrational fear of cemeteries and being buried alive."

The former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ star totally understands her fear of raccoons is not rational but she just can't help it! In 2011, she told Jay Leno: "You know, most things are like dogs, you know, they're more afraid of you than you are of them and I don't find that [with them]. I was recently sitting outside and this raccoon comes right up, like right there, and I'm expecting it to be more afraid of me and I'm staring at it and it's staring right back like he's gonna kick my b***, and I didn't know what to do so I just stood up and barked at it and he just ran away."

The 69-year-old TV legend is so scared of balloons, especially when they pop! Oprah said: "A lot of people don’t know this, but I really don’t like balloons. I don’t like them because it reminds me of gunfire, and perhaps somewhere in my life, or past childhood, I must have had something to do with gunfire. It just really freaks me out being around balloons."

The Jonas Brothers star has travelled all over the world for his music career, something that has not been easy for him as he has a severe fear of flying. The musician told Cosmopolitan: "I hate flying. People are shocked by that because I fly all the time, but I think defying gravity is just frightening."

Scarlett admits that shooting her movie ‘We Bought A Zoo’, because she had to come face-to-face with her biggest fear - birds! The 38-year-old actress said in 2011: "Something about wings and beaks and the flapping … I'm terrified of them. ... I was terrified of the peacocks on set. Like, 'Ahh, don’t get too close!' They’re, like, mean."

The former 'Friends' actress developed her fear of being underwater due to a childhood trauma. She told E! Online: "I was a kid and I was riding this tricycle around a swimming pool and I drove my tricycle into the swimming pool and I didn't let go and my brother tried to [help me]." She added: "So, I can't go underwater and no one will believe me. I honestly can't."

The ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ hitmaker cannot hang her designer garments up because she has a fear of coat hangers! Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, she said: "I don’t like the way they sound when you put them in the wardrobe."

The ‘Yellowjackets’ star might have seen ‘Jaws’ when she was a little too young as she has a fear of sharks. Christina, 43, even worries about them when she's splashing about in a swimming pool! She said in 2008: "I won’t swim in a pool by myself because I think that somehow a little magic door is going to open up and let the shark out.”

The 'Big Little Lies' star admitted in 2014 that she can’t bear butterflies, a side effect of her upbringing in Australia. Nicole, 55, said: "Sometimes when I would come home from school the biggest butterfly or moth you’d ever seen would just be sitting on our front gate. I would climb over the fence, crawl around to the side of the house — anything to avoid having to go through the front gate. I have tried to get over it. … I walked into the big butterfly cage at the American Museum of Natural History and had the butterflies on me … but that didn't work. "I jump out of planes, I could be covered in cockroaches, I do all sorts of things, but I just don’t like the feel of butterflies' bodies."

The former 'Baywatch' star might be one of the world’s most beautiful bombshells but she doesn’t like to admire her appearance because of her fear of mirrors. The 55-year-old actress told the Daily Mail: "I have this phobia: I don't like mirrors. And I don't watch myself on television. If anything comes on, I make them shut it off, or I leave the room."
